Class Work Policies
Make-up Work
Make-up work (following an excused absence) will be accepted according to our county's guidelines: Students may make up any missed work as a result of absences. As PCSB policy states, "You will be allowed at least the same number of days for make-up work as the number of days absent.” Students will be responsible for checking with classmates, the schedule, and the teacher about missed assignments. Late Work Late work is different from make-up work. Late work is work you haven’t turned in on time even though you are present at school. It happens when you forget to bring it to school, you didn’t have time to finish it, your dog ate it, or your thumb drive got washed with your clothes in the washing machine. Exceptions
If you have an extenuating circumstance that causes you to miss an assignment (i.e. an illness that requires medical treatment, a hospitalization, a death in your family, an unanticipated change in your living situation, a zombie apocalypse, etc.) please see me in a timely manner so we can reschedule your missed work. Also, if you experience a technical problem, please tell me about it right away.

Dress Code
In class, we follow the county's Student Code of Conduct. In general:
- Wear safe footwear.
- No violence, profanity or sexually suggestive images/ words may be featured on clothing. Also, no images/ words related to tobacco, alcohol, or drugs may be featured.
- Outer garments should cover undergarments.
- Clothing should cover shoulders, midriff, and upper thighs.

Food and Drink
- In general, please eat and drink before you come to class.
- Drinks that have a secure top are welcome in class if you drink carefully.
- If you have a medical challenge that causes you to need flexibility with food or drink, just let me know.
- If you have trouble concentrating because you've missed your breakfast, let me know and we'll get you a snack asap.
